About TradeStack Review

We review the software that runs trade businesses — scheduling, dispatch, invoicing and payment tools — for the people who actually run the trucks.

Why this site exists

Most "best software for contractors" pages are thin lists written by people who've never dispatched a tech, ranked by whichever vendor pays the biggest commission. The vendors' own pages all look the same and all claim to be the best. We wanted a straight answer to a simple question: if I run a small shop, which tool should I actually buy?

Who's behind it

TradeStack Review is an independent editorial site. The team behind it comes from the lead-generation side of the home-service industry — building and running the websites and booking funnels that feed jobs to dozens of plumbing, HVAC, landscaping and electrical companies — so the day-to-day reality of how a shop gets leads, books work and gets paid is the lens for every review. Practical, shop-floor, money-in-money-out.

How we test

We buy or trial each tool and run the same week of work through it — quotes, dispatch, reschedules, invoices and a couple of chargebacks — then score setup time, how many taps it takes a tech to close a job from the truck, what the customer sees, and whether the vendor will tell you the price without a sales call. We re-check pricing every month and date it on the page.

How we rank

By crew size and job type, not by commission. Some tools we recommend pay us; some don't, and they still make the list when they're the right answer. Here's exactly how the money works.

How we keep pages current

Published prices on every money page carry the month they were last checked. We re-check each vendor's pricing page monthly and update the figure and the date together; when a tier limit or trial length changes, the tables change with it.

Corrections

If a price, feature or claim on this site is wrong, we want to know. Send it through the contact page with a link to the vendor's own page showing the correct figure. Verified corrections are made on the page itself, and the "pricing checked" date is updated. We do not quietly rewrite verdicts; if a ranking changes because a tool got better or worse, the page says so.

Editorial independence

Vendors do not see reviews before they publish, do not approve rankings and cannot pay for placement. Affiliate relationships exist with some of the tools we cover and are disclosed on every page that uses them, including the cross-trade roundup and each trade page. Tools that pay us nothing stay on the list when they are the right answer.
